After previously working for Zurich Financial Services as head of IT Operations for Europe, UK and Asia/Pacific, Joe joined The Consortium in January 2005 as Operations Director for Business Systems and was appointed to the Board on 1 September 2006. He oversees Firebuy from The Consortium at board level.

Mark Herrington, MCIPS
Head of Services
Mark has 25 years purchasing experience within public and private sector purchasing and has been involved in Fire procurement since 1998. He joined The Consortium in 1994 as a buyer from Nottinghamshire County Council and has been a member of the Senior Management Team for over 10 years reporting directly to the Board. Mark is head of the Firebuy from The Consortium team.

Alan Paulinski
Technical Manager
Alan was a uniformed officer for over 30 years with Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service as "Head of Emergency Response". His role encompassed operational Command, procurement of Fire Appliances, Emergency Response Equipment and Uniform, operational policy and procedures. Alan then moved on to a position within Firebuy Ltd working in the Fire Vehicles & Emergency Response Equipment Workstream. Alan transferred to The Consortium on the 1 June 2011, working in the public and private sector with procurement experience and the added benefit of being able to see what is required and how to use it. Alan is the Technical Manager for Firebuy from The Consortium.

Category Manager
Monique has recently joined Firebuy from The Consortium as a Category Manager. Her previous public sector purchasing experience includes working for the NHS for 3 years on a range of projects including the procurement of ambulances and rapid response vehicles.

Business Development Manager
Spencer started his career with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm in aircraft engineering and then moved into in IT technical engineering. He has been working in business development for the last 6 years and has just transferred to the team from another area of The Consortium.
